FAQ
Do you have parking?
No need to worry about getting a parking ticket with us. Our site has it’s own private parking lot with over 35 spots available.
Your name says “Tavern”. Are you a restaurant? Or a bar? Or both?
We look at ourselves as a neighborhood bar that happens to have great food. Come in, wave a hello to one of the bartenders and then sit wherever you like. We’ll come get your drink & food orders and provide table service. Or just camp out right at the bar. Either way, you can enjoy the action on the 7 large screen TV’s, play some QuickDraw, or just relax with your friends. We really pride ourselves on our bar. It’s got a great layout, we’ve got daily happy hour ($1-off drafts from 4-7pm) and different drink specials every night after 7pm. We’re not just a place to eat – we’re a comfortable, affordable place to hang out and have drinks as well.
Are you kid-friendly?
We don’t have a dedicated kids menu but we do have many kid friendly food items such as hot dogs, cheeseburgers, pizza, tater tots and french fries. We think you and your kids will love the food. Kid seats and boosters are available.
What sports do you show there?
We have the Sunday ticket, so if an NFL game is being played it’s on TV at The Old Stone. On Sundays the audio is tuned to the Bills game, but up to six other games are on the other TVs. Even though the Northeast tends not to be a real college football hotbed, we’ve got the games on and we also have the Big10 network so all the Penn State games are available. We are big on hockey too – we’ll have all the Sabres action for you. We are also HUGE college hoops fans so we will have all your Syracuse Orange games and St. Bonaventure too. Lastly, we are the home site for the Chelsea Fan Club of Rochester. That’s English Premier League soccer for those of you who are wondering. Games days are Saturday/Sunday for our Chelsea supporters and we open early to show the action from across the pond. NOTE: Table service adjusted during COVID, please follow the signs and order at the designated bar area.
How late is the kitchen open?
We’ve got great food and we don’t want to deprive our late-night crowd. We keep the kitchen open til ½ hour before closing. So grab a late-night slice, a burger, some wings, or better yet, share some funnel fries!! NOTE: Kitchen hours adjusted during COVID, please check front page for current hours.
